Malaysiakini: ANWARPHOBIA?

I woke today to the news announced that Pak Lah and the BN government has reduced the fuel price at the pump. Fuel price has gone down 15 sen for the RON97 petrol and 8 sen for diesel.

I wonder, why the fuel prices were lowered 3 days before the Permatang Pauh by-election. Oh, sure, the LRT and Komuter loving Pak Lah can say govt always said fuel prices would be lowered according to market prices. However, any person with a brain could see that global fuel prices has been declining quite a while. Only now, the govt seen fit to lower the price, 'coincidentally' 3 days before the by-election.

Now, the thing is, I sense that the BN is like the Titanic. It is sinking but the crew (headed by Captain Pak Lah) refuses to abandon ship. Anwar has massive support in Permatang Pauh and of course, the recent revelation that Ariff Shah, his Sun Wukong Monkey God wanna-be opponent, enrolled in a Ph.D program from a fraud university offering degrees and doctorates for a fee, is sure to be damaging. Of course, the silver haired, pot bellied simian wanna-be says he dropped out afte realizing it was a fake university but come on, be realistic. Would you not check out the university beforehand before enrolling in a Ph.D course? Or was Ariff Shah too busy practising kung fu moves with the Monkey God's magical staff to realize he was signing up for a 'bought' Ph.D?

Yes, yes, politicians always seem to have an answer ready.

Anyhow, Pak Lah's recent LRT and Komuter joyride is being plastered all over the media, singing praises about the 'people-centric' leader who commutes with his fellow rakyat. People, come on la, think with your God-given brain la. Pak Lah only once rides a train and every lap dog is barking his praise. For crying out loud, Pak Lal gets chauffeured to work every day. He doesn't ride the LRT or Komuter every day. And look, he talks about it being sesak and packed but doesn't he realize what he's doing? He's bringing his own entourage of bodyguards, reporters and photographers. Because of him, the train become even more sesak. I wonder how many people missed the train because it was packed with his bodyguards?

If he was truly a people-centric man, he should travel on the LRT and Komuter like any normal people would do. He shouldn't bring a 'rombongan sambil belajar' of bodyguards and aides. Is he afraid of getting assassinated in the LRT? Is that why he brought an army of bodyguards? And is it a coincidence that his train jaunt comes just several days before the Permatang Pauh by-election? LRT and Komuter users have been suffering for years, lack of trains, late trains and all sorts of nonsense. If he didn't 'turun padang' in all those years, why now? Why three days before the by-election?

Come on la, do we look like 2 year olds with Marie biscuits in our mouths?

It is so easy to see why Pak Lah is doing this. It is so easy to see Ariff Shah talking in Mandarin and talking about being like Sun Wukong, the Monkey God. It is so easy to see why BN lowered the fuel prices.

Why?

It is a classic case of Anwarphobia.

You see, BN is afraid of Anwar. It is obvious. They know they going to get torpedoed by Anwar in the by-election and and they know once Anwar makes it into Parliament in one piece, there's going to be boatloads of MPs crossing over and allowing Anwar to seize power and become PM. They know that and they are doing whatever it takes to derail that. Anwar is not a 'sampan' to be sinked so easily, he is Nimitz-class nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

When would you see a BN/UMNO politician talking in Mandarin and talking about the Monkey God? Only during the elections, when they want to charm you for votes. Oh Gosh! It just seems so long ago that certain leaders in UMNO were talking about ketuanan melayu and raising the keris in a racist frenzy. I wonder if speaking Mandarin is part of Ketuanan Melayu. Koh Tsu Koon has said that Ariff Shah's brother was part of the company that caused the supposed RM 9 million loss to the Penang state govt in a shady land deal. Hmmmmm....

As a friend of mine said, 'They can lower the fuel prices 15 sen today, but mark my words, after election, they will raise the fuel prices 30 sen'. HAHAHAHAHA...

News is filtering in that a police report has been allegedly made against the Sabah CM, Musa Aman in a RM16 million smuggling scandal in Hong Kong, allegedly linking him and his foster brothers there. This will surely erode already eroded confidence in the Sabah state govt and cause more MPs to abandon ship.

Anyhow, I need to go sik fan. Malaysian politics is lowering blood glucose levels.
